Recipe for hot, cinnamon vanilla tea. Fill one small pot with water and boil. Turn heat to low/medium-low. Mix in a tablespoon of ground cinnamon (saigon), a few drops of vanilla extract and sugar to taste. Put in 3 tea bags and let steep for 10-15 min. Stir often.
Spiced Somalian Tea: 2 cups water, 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg, 2 crushed cardamom pods, 5 crushed cloves, 1 (3-inch) cinnamon stick, 1/4 cup whole milk, and 4 teaspoons light brown sugar --- Bring water to a boil in a small saucepan over high heat. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients. Steep for 15 minutes, then strain into 2 (8-ounce) heatproof glasses
Ingredients 1 cup water 4 whole allspice 2 individual black tea bags 1 cup unsweetened apple juice or cider 2 tablespoons honey Directions In a small saucepan, bring water and allspice just to a boil; add tea bags. Remove from the heat; cover and steep for 3 minutes. Discard allspice and tea bags. Stir in apple juice and honey; heat through. Yield: 2 servings.
Pork chops in the crock pot: 6-8 boneless porkchops 2 lg can peaches (do not drain) 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/4 cup brown sugar 1 cups apple juice All you need to do is brown the porkchops on both sides then put them in the crockpot. In a bowl mix the can of peaches with the cinnamon and brown sugar and apple juice. pour on top of pork chops and cook on low for 6 hours. serve it over white rice.
Creamy Turmeric-Ginger Tea. For a two serving yield, use 1+1/4 cup water, 3/4 cup canned coconut milk, 2 tsp fresh ginger, 2 tsp tumeric, 2 tsp ceylon cinnamon, 1 tsp allspice, 1/4 tsp ground cloves, and 1/4 tsp finely ground sea salt. Warm over low heat, strain, and divide between two mugs. Add raw honey and stevia to taste.
~ Gypsy Tea ~ 2 Oranges 3 Lemons 13 Cloves 1 Tbs. Ground Allspice 1/2 Cinnamon Stick 3 Tbs. Black Tea 2 Quarts Boiling Water 1 1/4 Cups Sugar Squeeze juice from the oranges lemons; set aside. Remove rinds put in large container. Add cloves, allspice, cinnamon sticks tea. Pour boiling water over the tea mixture let stand for about 10 minutes. Strain then return liquid container. Stir in the juices sugar. This tea may be served hot or over crushed ice.
