Garbage Bowls: Whenever the class is doing a cutting activity, put a "garbage bowl" on the table. It collects paper scraps and eliminates paper on the floor.

I use Rachael Ray's Garbage Bowl when I cook. Great idea for the class, too! Whenever the class is doing a cutting activity, put a "garbage bowl" on the table. It collects paper scraps and eliminates paper on the floor.

Blogger said: There is an envelope laminated for each assignment due. I started with 10 just in case my grading streak slows down! lol I can just write the activity on the envelope and the kids go there to turn it in. Then they check off their name on the back. So I know exactly who didnt turn it in. It also makes things SO much easier to grade!

Have laminated envelopes so you can write the assignment's name on it with Vis-a-Vis marker. On the back, have your class list or class numbers so the kids can check off when they turn them in.

Put a "Tidy Tub" on each table while students are doing cutting projects. It helps keep the students in their seats working instead of getting up to go to the trash.
