You can use Febreeze to clean a dry erase board that just wont erase (because the ink is very dried on) . Spray the board and wipe, it also helps recondition old dry erase boards.

Cleans dry erase boards! I had iso-alcohol and that works too. I used a paper towel and it was perfectly clean and white again.
