Students are making words in this activity. They are creating a word in a consonant-vowel-consonant patteren. This could be extended into word families or sight words. Students could do this as word work or at a station. I do this with spelling words.
LOVE this idea. Never thought of using pom poms.how much quieter.and love her worksheet to record words.although a journal at the station would be great too and use her worksheet graphic as the front cover.
Love the top reading game for stations! Spin the top & record on a graph which sight word it lands on. If the words were smaller and more on a page, pages can be changed so kids can LEARN their sight words.
