Stevie Wonder 1967
"Just because a man lacks the use of his eyes doesn't mean he lacks vision." —Stevie Wonder. Powerful!! Think about this: Stevie not only makes classic music, he CREATES the music. The man is a singer-songwriter, composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist (keyboard, harmonica, drums, bass guitar, congas, bongos, keytar, accordion, and harpejii). That's what you call gifted and passionate.

#ThomasEdison - He was labeled dumb by his teachers in school, and reportedly failed at the light bulb over 10,000 times. “For every failure, I knew I was one step closer to success.”
"Electric Leadership by Thomas Edison" (by Rob Wolfe). Leaders can be inspired simply by Edison’s words. I feel that four ideals--Motivation, Innovation, Failure, & Knowing What's Important to You--under which I’ve compiled 12 of Edison’s leadership-oriented quotes, must be cast in the heart of any great leader. May these literary “inventions” of Thomas Edison inspire you in your business and personal endeavors.
Thomas Edison failed a thousand times before he invented the lightbulb. “How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?” a reporter asked. “I didn’t fail 1,000 times,” Edison responded. “The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps.”
Thomas Alva Edison (1847-1931) was an American inventor and businessman. He developed many devices that greatly influenced life around the world, including the phonograph, the motion picture camera, and a long-lasting, practical electric light bulb. Dubbed "The Wizard of Menlo Park" (now Edison, New Jersey) by a newspaper reporter, he was one of the first inventors to apply the principles of mass production and large-scale teamwork to the process of invention.

The Hutchinson House - Ypsilanti, MI. Built 1901 (?) by one of the founders of S & H Green Stamps. Originally had an indoor swimming pool, the first elevator in Michigan, a ballroom, and an entire room transported from the hunting lodge of some Prussian (German?) noble. Currrently houses the offices of my employers, The HighScope Educational Research Foundation.
