Telling Time: make a clock on your white board using a hula hoop to teach time, or use hoop as a border for laminated poster board.

Telling Time with Hoop and Whiteboard (stick a hula hoop to the white board, and write numbers around the inside of the circle to make a "clock". You can make little notches around the inside of the hula hoop to practice telling time to the exact minute, if you choose to, but I really like to use this to work with elapsed time.

Love it. I have a similar idea I stole from Mrs. Lemons blog. I love the idea of using the clocks from Target. (sick that I know where they came from! haha)

I had my class make these clocks this past week, and they loved it! Not to mention it really helped students better grasp the idea of quarter past and quarter til.

Great activity for kids to practice telling time. The dice have either numbers or 15 minute increments on it. Kids roll the die, and then have to put the right time on the clock. Great center idea
