Use Borax for cleaning carpet, remove stains, remove pet odor, and kill fleas.

  • Donna Collum

Borax to Clean Carpet Stains: Borax can be used to remove stains and to spot clean your carpet, too. To do this, make a borax paste (borax with water) and rub it into the spot. Let it dry and vacuum. For hard-to-remove stains make a paste of the following ingredients: ¼ cup of salt ¼ cup of borax ¼ cup of vinegar Apply the paste mixture to the stain. In this case, rub it into the carpet fibers. Let it dry and vacuum.

I love every suggestion! The one I wouldn't use it for is cleaning my glass shower door! I gave up on that years ago. Instead, I use a clear shower curtain in front of the door on the inside. I replace it about every six months. It's cheap and not nearly as frustrating, and it looks just fine.
