      Dip baby food jar into paint, then "spin" it. Could create a caterpillar and read Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Or for fall, could cut out caterpillar and glue to construction paper traced leaves, or glue cut out leaves to paper!

    When I was little my great-grandmother had a button box filled with buttons she had collected from a lifetime of clothing. It used to fascinate me to sit and look through them, picking out the ones that I thought were pretty.
