Invite your kids to make a wordle at home. Give them parameters like this mom did with her kids: name 6 times, two fruits of the spirit they try to live, ways they help and serve others...post them on your bulletin board!
AWESOME end of the year gift for each student: Comes with a sheet to give each student where they write one word to describe each of their classmates. Combine classmates' words into a word cloud surrounding that student's name. Present as a framed gift on last day :)
I have far too many classes to do this with and my kids wouldnt appreciate it from a student teacher, at least not in class time. But, for those of you with the same class throughout the year and with younger kids, this is a great idea to show them that you appreciate each and every one of them.
I AM... boards. Love this idea to remind them they are wonderful. (I think I'd use actual photos of the girls, though.) Or do this with a girl scout troop photo and say... Girl Scouts is..... (let them find adjectives in magazines to glue around frame.)
'YourKids' Teacher: Erasing Meanness This is a powerful activity. There will always be some tough years when you need to really get the attention of your students in order to make a break though in improving behavior. This activity is one that can do just that.
