    The Giver, not the gifts.

  • Marcie Mockbil

We want the gifts but not the gift-giver. We place ourselves in control, not God. Perhaps the reason why lessons continue to repeat themselves??? Great quote by C.S. Lewis, "As long as you notice and have to count the steps, you are not yet dancing, but, only learning to dance..." We may never have all of the answers, but, there is value in the mystery of God, I'm guessing that's faith, right? Lesson learned: Allow God to be in control...

He truly does.. God is amazing once you let Him mold your life into His vision. Put your full focus on Him and off the superficial things we claim as important in our lives.

I love this. The first time I had my heart broken my Mom gave me an old newspaper clipping of this poem.
