1958 Born in 1899, Lucille Manguin was a Paris couturier in business between 1928 and 1960. The daughter of an impressionist painter, Henri Charles Manguin, Lucile was known for her perfection of detail in the couture tradition. She was the first couturier to show a collection at night, by candlelight. Upon her retirement she opened an art gallery.
