• Talk about money saver! Homemade Baby Wipes 1 roll of Bounty paper towels 2-1/4 cups of water 2 Tbsp. baby bath or shampoo 1 Tbsp. baby oil Cut the roll of towels in half (an electric knife works well) and place in a container (a large plastic coffee can or a Rubbermaid container works well). Mix all liquid ingredients together and pour over top of the towels. When ready to use, remove the cardboard center and pull the towels from the middle.

• Homemade Baby Wipes -- interesting idea! Although, I wonder if it really saves much \$\$ since brand name paper towels aren't super cheap either. Update: Ok, so I did the math because I was really curious (and I'm a nerd) to see how much (if any) you would actually save by using the Bounty paper towels that she calls for in the instructions over traditional wipes. Turns out quite a bit! One roll of Bounty paper towels from Walmart is approximately \$1.20, 52 sheets per roll x 2 (since you cut the roll in half), means you get 104 wipes at a little over 1 cent each. If you check out wipes on Amazon, they are, on average, 4 cents a wipe. I didn't take into account the couple tablespoons of baby wash/oil because I have no clue how to figure that but, even if it doubles the cost of the homemade wipes, they are still half the cost of ready made wipes.
