I love this song. It's a song about a family and their 18-year-old son died in the war. The mother said she coped by driving his truck. Lee Brice struggled through the lyrics and you can tell. It's a amazing song. Brice said he began thinking about his granddaddy the first time he heard the song and lost control of his own emotions.
Jeff Buckley - "Hallelujah" (LIVE in Chicago, 1995). "Jeff made this song immortal. It absolutely seethes with life and loss and hope and humanity. One of those songs that's so achingly REAL it just wipes away all the dross of mundane day-to-day life and plugs your soul right back into what really matters. Like a breath of pure air sending shivers down your back for 8 minutes straight."
