City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, Book 1) by Cassandra Clare: When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder -- much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air.

The Mortal Instruments series. I really hope the movie isn't crappy. The trailer makes me want to throw the book at whose ever idea it was to have clary with a palm tattoo. And every other aspect of the movie trailer is unspeakable. Horrid. The books itself, however, are amazing.

I still love the books, but since the movie has come out I cannot pick up the books and read them because I keep thinking of how they could have bettered the movies and it's sad because they're my favorite books.

The thing with twilight is, overall it's stupid. The only complexity twilight had was Bella not being able to be with Edward and the obstacles she stupidly handled. With City of Bones it's so much more than Clary wanting to be with Jace. Speaking of Jace, I think his character was very poorly portrayed by Jamie Campbell Bower.

I love how Cassandra Clare incorporated The Infernal Devices with The Mortal Instruments.

Well you cant have loved them that much if you're letting one hollywood movie ruin them for you. I just think of the movie as something completely unrelated to the books now. Something that crap can in no way be associated with something so brilliant. I dont care what name them plastered onto it. It wasn't City of Bones.

No, it gets to me because a book that good shouldn't have been turned into a crap movie like that. My obsession with these books is what makes me crazy irritated of how the movie turned out. But you do have a point on thinking of the movie as something completely unrelated to the book because they didn't even get one detail right.
