Probably will not do but it is a good idea with all those boot cut jeans I have that are too short from high school.

Jeans to Skinny Jeans. Just saw this pin, and immediately did it! Works like a charm, simple even for the novice sewer (like me!)

Temporarily afix doily to clothing, using fabric paint, apply a coat of paint to the doily. Remove the doily and voila, an intricate lace design applique!

#1- Great idea! #2-Hmm. Someone did a REALLY nice job on these. For me, the screw top needs to be hidden, My ocd says NO NO! Could do beaded trim, embroidered ribbon, embossed metal strip, strand of pearls wrapped round & round, etc. Beautiful!
