Make sure the app is more educational and less entertaining. Finding that balance is key.This can be more applicable for school-aged kids. Anything for a toddler is going to be educational. They are constantly learning about the world around them. Finding apps for school-aged kids that has hidden educational content wrapped in a game is crucial to making the iPad an educational tool.
Love the idea of a "grazing tray," that kids can help themselves to all day (with a variety of healthy fruits, veggies, etc.) I would leave it inn the fridge & she could help herself when she feels like a snack. I have yet to try this, but grazing throughout the day is so much healthier than large meals & designated snack times.
