How About Chalky Pastels in Your Living Room?

The open, airy space of this coastal living room inspiration lends itself to a beachy feel. We love the bright pops of color! See more rooms to love.

Read a book or take in the spectacular views of the surrounding mountains from one of this room's three walls of windows. Don't miss the ceiling of the room -- it's unexpectedly clad with flooring for a fresh look. (Photo: Van Chaplin; Charles Walton IV)

Color use - I like that there is enough color in a neutral space. I like the color of the bottom of the coffee table. Trevor likes green, but not teal like in th rug.

I think the molding on top gives it a cottage look

turn the area under the window in the "breakfast nook" into a bench. Opens up the kitchen and makes an interesting focal point to the room. Also love the plate rail above the window.
