Homemade Clear Embossing Ink....You need 1 tsp of petroleum jelly, I used the classic, Vaseline. Mix in 1/8 capful of vegetable oil.Then mix in 1/8 capful of alcohol to dilute. Mix together. It doesn't make a lot but it does make more than enough to rehydrate your ink pad.

Homemade Clear Embossing Ink: You need 1 tsp of petroleum jelly, capful of vegetable oil, capful of alcohol to dilute. I've also heard Glycerin will refresh your clear embossing pad when it dries out.

Alcohol Inks...DIY...Kool-aid & rubbing alcohol...super easy and far cheaper than buying them.

I wonder if this works: Easier, cheaper alcohol inks and dyes - use a cheap small spray bottle - mix KoolAid or food color or easter dye or RIT dye with rubbing alcohol. Intensity of color depends on amount of your preferred additive.
