when students participate when no one else is or answer a challenging question they can get 'smart beads' to wear. they trade in smart beads at the end of the day for a little note that goes home to their parents! cute!
Chit~Chat Chart...pull a square of the chart when a child is talking while the teacher is talking. If all 3 are pulled before recess...they have to run/walk laps. Don't take recess away as a punishment.
You can use Febreeze to clean a dry erase board that just wont erase (because the ink is very dried on) . Spray the board and wipe, it also helps recondition old dry erase boards.@Megan Smith I saw this and thought of you!
Punch cards can be used to reward good behavior, completing homework, practicing math facts or sight words, etc...>> might work better than the sticker chart, as some kids are taking other kids' stickers!! Ugh! lol
*Power Pellets -Anytime I call out "Power Position" the students have to stop what they are doing, fold their arms, and look at me. The first one to do so quietly will get a Power Pellet (aka, one skittle). Seriously teachers, THIS WORKS! I don't even really yell the words, I just simply and casually say them and they stop. It's magic what one Skittle will do for a kiddo! :}
