"Tokyo Garden and House": An infill between two larger buildings, this 5-story townhouse lets light into the 4 meter-wide site by employing glass walls throughout. Gardens (and curtains) for each room help screen the homeowners from the neighbors, while also providing green relief to an otherwise sterile commercial street. | Design: Ryue Nishizawa, SANAA (2013) Photo: Iwan Baan
