The Art of Racing in the Rain: heart-wrenching novel. As Chris said, makes you want to get a puppy. Its one of those books that puts things into perspective, I haven't stumbled on one like this in a while. Loved it.

Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden. This book chronicles the fascinating life of Chiyo, who is sold to a geisha house, where she later becomes the star geisha, Sayuri. Excellent read and although not as good the movie was well worth seeing

A lot of good quotes.  I have read it thousands of times and never get bored of it.  Very good book. It is a must read for anyone

Just enough puppy innocence mixed with the wisdom of a dog beyond his years....love this book.

I read this about 3 years ago and loved it. I was also amazed that Ang Lee could make it into a Movie. I would not have thought it possible. I also enjoyed the movie. It took awhile to adjust to the 3 D glasses, but I felt the 3D experience served this movie well.

The first time I read this book was at the request of my friend to her daughter.  Unbeknown to me what the book was about or how it ended...I was a blubbering idiot by the end.  But I do love this book.
