This dramatic picture by Michael Nolan has been dubbed the face of Mother Nature crying on a canvas of melting ice and cascading water on a Norwegian Glacier. Randy Schutt discovered this amazing photo of a crying face in an ice cap located on Nordaustlandet, in the Svalbard archipelago. The tears of this natural sculpture created by a waterfall of glacial water, paints an poignant reminder of the effects of warming in the ice caps of the north.

Racetrack Playa is almost completely flat, 2.5 miles from north to south and 1.25 miles from east to west, and covered with cracked mud. The rocks, some weighing hundreds of pounds, slide across the sediment, leaving furrows in their wakes, but no one has actually witnessed it.
