Bobby thought it was salty, I didn't even put the 2 TBS it called for and the carrots fell apart(had baby carrots)but tastySlow Cooker "Melt in Your Mouth" Pot Roast ~ The meat is juicy and fall-apart tender. They took an old school recipe from the book and put a personalized, modern twist on it – and it all looks absolutely delicious. JO: this was the best roast I've ever made. We are barely going to have enough left for leftovers. I added potatoes, onions and baby carrots on top of everything. I can't remember if her recipe said x the powders in the water or not, but I was told by someone else who's made it before to rub the dry mix onto all sides of the roast, then pour the water around the roast. Will definitely make again!

LJ: By far the best recipe I have tried. I wont make a roast any other way now. Mississippi Roast - - Put chuck roast in crock pot, Sprinkle with Hidden Valley ranch dressing, add McCormick Au Jus mix, a stick of butter, 5 pepperoncini peppers. DO NOT ADD WATER. Cook on low for 7-8 hrs
