Get your garden started early by planting your seeds in eggshells indoors before the weather permits outdoor growth. There are several reasons why eggshells are the perfect pot for this, but the biggest is that they are cheap (free really), full of calcium to give your seedlings that extra boost, and easy to plant in the garden when ready (the shell can stay on!).
Lemon seeds the leaves smell so good. Awesome for kitchen, bathroom, or at my desk! 1.Soak lemons seeds overnight. 2.Gently remove outer layer of seeds. 3.Put back into water as you prepare soil. 4.Plant lemon seeds in a circle pattern. 5.Place small pebbles on top of seeds. 6.Water occasionally and watch it grow.
Turn old newspaper into seedling pots. They can be planted directly into the ground as the paper will eventually biodegrade. You can form them by wrapping the paper around a jamjar or similar, or there are 'devices' that can be bought to make the pots. I think using the gardening supplement that comes with the weekend papers would be quite a nice touch :D
