FREEBIE! I’ve found that the most effective way to keep things calm (yet still fun!) in my classroom is to constantly mix up my reward system! My expectations always stay the same, but how I reward positive behavior is constantly changing. In order to keep things fresh and fun, we started using this motivating Bravo Behavior Board I made up in our classroom.
FUN Hallway Behavior Management Idea. Before you leave the classroom pick a chip with a students name but don't tell who it is. They are the mystery walker and you are watching that student the entire time. If they do a good job in the hall, they get a ticket or prize.
When a student breaks a rule or expected behavior, don't say anything, just reach up and remove a shape from the board. Reward or punishment for left over shapes or an empty board.. Shapes can change with theme or season.
The Simplest Classroom Management System Ever! I just wonder if this would work for middle school. I like how it's very basic and doesn't require constant rewards. Even so, I would want to be able to recognize single students...
About once a month I choose a student to receive the "positive postcard". I actually mail a postcard to their house! They love receiving mail from their teacher. Their parents especially love it...it's sure nice to know that their child is succeeding.
