"The game is simple. You take turns drawing cards out of a container. If you can read the sight word you keep the card. If not, the card goes back in. Whoever collects the most cards wins the game. Beware of the BANG cards though. If you draw one, you have to put back all of the cards you have collected." STI loves this idea! Use unit review questions, instead of sight words, for middle schoolers!
Play Connect Four as you normally would (trying to get 4 in a row) with the exception that before the child takes their turn they have to pick one of the playing pieces which are turned with the sight word stickers face down and read the sight word correctly before putting the piece into play on the game board.
