Helen Keller & Anne Sulivan- In July 1888 Helen was 8 years old. She's seen here wearing a light-colored dress and holding her teacher's hand and cradling one of her dolls. Experts on Keller’s life believe it could be the earliest photo of the two women together and the only one showing the blind and deaf child with a doll.

1943 Pauline van Waasdijk with her Jewish ‘hidden’ baby Marijke whose real name is Ruth Ruth is rescued from the crèche opposite the Hollandsche Schouwburg by Pauline van Waasdijk and Hester van Lennep. The Germans keep all the children ready for deportation in the crèche. These two woman save about 80 children. After the war Ruth is taken to New York.
