Got Herbs? Try this out in a Hanging Pocket Shoe Rack -This is perfect if you just have a small outdoor space. Just poke a few holes on the bottom of each pouch and fill with good soil, then a small rooted herb plant. If you water from the top, it trickles down to the lower 'pocket', like a waterfall, so don't over water!
Vertical Herb Garden-In the dried Western US states, pots dry out quickly. A better set-up is to have the drip lines through holes drilled in the wall that the lines drip in the pots on a daily basis in hot weather, and if over 100 degrees, twice a day. If painted with a washable paint, herb labeling in chalk is a terrific idea if you want to change out pots with different herbs.
Hanging herb garden - pair sage and rosemary, parsley (appreciates weekly liquid feeding and midday shade) and chives, and basil (cut some shoots off a supermarket-bought plant and stand them in water until they produce roots, then pot up the plantlets individually).
