I like this idea as being the last thing someone saw before blacking out. The outline of someone walking away. Not a distinct outline, but rather a shadow, growing dim with their vision, the lights fading around them, turning the shadow into part of the darkness.
So, maybe we're always on the run. And maybe we only have each other. But that's okay, isn't it? At the end of the day, that's all we can rely on.
