Basically put 2 CDs together - shiny sides out and set on an upside-down oven-proof cup -- oven at 375 degrees for about 10 mins or until it droops down over the cup.  This one turned out silver on the inside, with the side exposed to heat a glittery white.

Sharpie design on mug, 350 degree oven for 30 min

Learned this on Pinterest and tried it today! Heat oven to 500 degrees and put some marbles (you can put clear colored or clear with color in the middle) and heat for 20 mins...longer is OK but no better... After, put them in a bowl of cold water. I used a regular ceramic bowl and was afraid of shatter but nothing! It just cracks inside and creates GORGEOUS sparkles! Kids loved it and soooooo easy! Give it a try!

Simply paint or draw on your design. When you are done,  let them dry for a good 24 hours, then you heat set your designs by "cooking" them in a regular oven. 150 degrees celsius (300 degrees Fahrenheit ) for 35 minutes. After you have done that you can safely use it with food, use it in the microwave and dishwasher.

1. Buy plates from Dollar Store 2. Write things with a Sharpie 3. Bake for 30 mins in the 150 oven and it's permanent!

This is actually something I made in art my junior year of high school. Turn an old record into an awesome bowl. First spray paint one side white, paint a design with acrylic paint (mine is my finger print, which was the assignment), then melt it in the oven and cool it over a bowl.

Heat clear marbles in oven at 500 degrees for 20mins. Then put in ice water.
