16 West 12th Street, Greenwich Village, New York. This stunning house designed in 1845, it has undergone a complete renovation. The grandly scaled residence is distinguished by soaring ceiling heights. The Double Parlor Living Room boasts two fireplaces and three floor to ceiling French doors which flood the room with light.

    Such a beautiful room - so light and airy, and the colours seem so restful and inspiring, particularly in a big city. #city #beauty #love #room #style #interiordesign #interiors #interior #bed #peaceful #calm #life

This room + morning cup of coffee + chocolate croissant = heaven.

I love stuff, but I think that my recent drawing to simpler, more open decor is largely based on a desire to have beautiful things that need less dusting. My dogs, you see, need to live in our home, too.

What delight in the rustic simplicity of this bedroom with the big barn door inviting one to awake and begin to explore the day ahead. I've always wanted a bedroom that leads you to the outside world upon waking and this one does the job perfectly.

I love those windows. Can you imagine looking through them up at the stars before you fall asleep at night? Or how relaxing it would be to cuddle up in bed with a book while the rain pours down? This is such a great idea on how to use the often oddly shaped attic space.

Love all the windows in this kitchen!

Rustic romantic?

This Brazilian home has a wall of windows extending to the second floor. Imagine enjoying a view onto your courtyard while eating your morning toast.

Look at the wonderful details of these windows...and then glance at the parquet floor all done in the same white as the windows. SIGH. Lovely and serene.
