The Blue Between: Dreamin' of Chicken Coops some of these are pretty cool.

why do I love a backyard chicken coop? I guess it reminds me of collecting eggs on my grandparents' farm... guess I'm not the only one, there's several websites and blogs devoted to backyard chickens... who knew!?

Homestead Revival: Urban Chicks

Chicken coop - it's landscaped so the chickens have their own space to roam and nibble

Reminds me of when my youngest raised chickens and I painted the coop with a sign calling it his chicken farm. I love the idea of "dressing" up the chicken coop with cute decor.

oh - how I would love this - I think our chickens would too!

    I so want some chickens.

We love ours - have 6 more youngsters we just got - not big enough for the coop yet. 3 Ameracuanas and 3 Silver Wyandottes. We've had chickens for a year now - I find them fascinating.

My problem is convincing the hubby. :-( I only want 3 or 4 chickens. I was thinking about the Wyandottes. Something with nice tempers that aren't gonna peck me when I gather the eggs. A lot of people have told me how fascinating they are!

Chicken Run - love this for between the garden rows

  • Kathy, The Chicken Chick®

Pamela Burns: this isn't my coop, although my husband did build me an equally beautiful one. If you click on the photo, it will bring you to the owner's story with TONS of pictures of the inside and outside of the coop as well as the construction process.

It's beautiful! We have a nice coop too but after about i year just had to power wash all the walls & the boxes & stuff because chicken poop gets everywhere.

the chicken buffet - THAT's how you keep most of the food off the ground - easy to clean, too.
