Saw a cross section from the bottom of your Christmas tree trunk before putting it into its stand for decorating. I've never had a real tree, but this is a cool idea.

Saw off a slice of the Christmas tree trunk, label with the year's date, and make an ornament out of it! love this idea!! another reason to buy a REAL christmas tree!!!

We did this every year for Christmas and I really learned the true meaning of Christmas, will do with my own. 12 Days of Christmas!

Love this tree! Would be cute as small tree decorated w/ burlap in tin bucket - maybe as centerpiece?

...saw off a piece of your Christmas tree each year and make it an ornament...

It'd be cute to take the bottom of each year's tree, put the date on it, and make it an ornament the following years!

This is a combination of a wrapped book advent and book trees. Wrap 24 Christmas books (some borrowed from the library) and turned them into little Christmas trees. You could skip the wrapping part, but I think it adds to the fun.

Holiday quotes in frames. It would be so cute to do a cluster of these. Definitely necessary to use A Christmas Story and Christmas Vacation quotes too.

I love buttons... this is a really great ornament to show them off... will have to make some for next year!
