Was Richard III really the villain that the Tudors made him out to be? I believe he was misunderstood and a product of his time. He had to make difficult decisions and had a lot of people whispering in his ear. His marriage to Anne Neville definitely added to those whispers.
Elizabeth "Jane" Shore (1445 - 1527). She was a mistress of Edward IV from 1476 until his death in 1483. She was also the lover of the King's stepson, Thomas Grey. After his death Richard III made her walk through the streets of London in her underclothes as penance.
