Lavish chocolate brown and cream drapes topped with an elegant cornice box... along with pops of turquoise color add the final touches to this bedroom.

Options: light blue-gray walls, white bedding, blue/beige accent pillows. Would work best for either room if we did a beige headboard and white end tables.

These beautiful benches at the foot of the bed are such a lovely touch. Just what I'm looking for!

Serene Escape Designer Anne Coyle created this master bedroom to be a respite from everyday life. To keep it simple, she kept all of the bed linens white; painted the walls a calm, cool blue; and adorned the windows with simple Roman shades. The extra-tall upholstered headboard and pair of floral-printed armchairs lend themselves to reading and relaxing. The color palette was taken from the armchair fabric and is repeated on throw pillows.

With a backdrop of stark white, anything goes in terms of colorways. A navy, yellow, and red bedspread brings a cheerful tone to the room. Accessories spread color throughout the bedroom while keeping in step with the bedspread. The painting above the mantel pulls blue and white tones from the spread, while orange sheets enhance the red and yellow.

Note bench at foot of bed which is narrow enough not to impede the spade with two slipper chairs and ottoman.
