BYU Women's Services and Resources: A Moms influence on her Daughters Self Esteem and Body Image- This is so true. Society taught us to hate our bodies. We all want to look like girls in magazines, but fact is all those girls are photoshopped, fake and unattainable

So sad but true and it needs to stop. I was looking for weight loss motivation on Instagram and I typed in #weightloss and all of these results came up with girls who are so excited about losing weight by starving themselves and from there, I found a lot of them are cutting themselves and stuff. What kind of world do we live in where we think that's okay?

I think this quote is very true. I'd like to try harder to be happy with my body to set a good example for my daughter.

so true, so sad. 50 years ago, would there have been so many girls (and boys!) with eating disorders, body image issues, dieting obsessions and/or the desire to change what they look like by going under the knife?? No!! Because people weren't being fed these false images of what we are supposed to think is normal.

Tact: means careful use of words when pointing something negative out about something or someone

When someone rejects the help they have initially asked for and go into every excuse of why they can't then that's the time to walk away. They don't truly want to be free and in remaining there you are keeping them stuck too.

The hardest thing for me to understand is why someone would ever say something they don't mean. Being an honest person means you are honest 100% of the time.

Tact - if only we could be better at this. Teaching TACT at this level is possible and should be done.

its starts from you, so believe what I know... you are amazing! After all I know you best and I see what you may not, so until you see it too, let me give you the words of encouragement you need, the hand to hold, and the shoulder to lean on! I love you both!

we need to be more aware and have compassion. everyone has their struggles that most people don't even know anything about.
