My DIY Laundry Pedestals LOVE THEM! my-trys This is a great idea until they "walk off" and fall on the floor

Use up-high shelving to maximize laundry room storage space.

  • Tori Gillit

My laundry is exactly like this and not really functional at all. The shelf is too high to ever use daily and the pole doesn't leave you enough space for clothes to actually hang down... :/

Take the pole out and lower the shelf would only work with front loading machines. Which I do not have but one.

My current washer and dryer are located downstairs. I have room for them in the main upstairs bathroom if I can get front loaders.

Any way of finding out what the shelf directly above the washer/dryer is made of or how it was made?

Shelving for Small Laundry Room

Seriously... WHY isn't it normal to have washer/dryer in the closet? Makes so much sense!

LOVE the idea of the laundry baskets under the washer and dryer. How to make your own washer/dryer pedestal.

Closepin chandelier - $4 light kit from Ikea, part of a roll of hardware cloth (aka: wire fencing) from Lowe’s, white gloss spray paint, some old wire from our craft drawer, gloves & metal snips for handling/cutting the wire fencing, and two bags of clothespins (we actually ended up needing eight bags of them in the end).

Utilize Wasted Space Between Your Washer and Dryer

Talk about a sophisticated laundry room. It's so chic, yet utilitarian at the same time! The addition of a butcher block is a great idea in order to incorporate a folding station. And to make the space even more useful, installing a sink as part of the folding station is handy since your wet and dry zones are right next to one another, which helps with efficiency. #laundry #design #home
