This is what your parents don't teach you growing up: that everything is a learning experience, even for them. That things change. That sometimes a decision is a wrong one. That there's no handbook or manual for life, and that there's no right or wrong way to live your life. And that thing we call 'living life' is just making it up as you go.
"Our culture has accepted two huge lies. The first is that if you disagree with someone’s lifestyle, you must fear or hate them. The second is that to love someone means you agree with everything they believe or do. Both are nonsense. You don’t have to compromise convictions to be compassionate." Rick Warren
I know I fucked up. My lie fixed something that was broken for a reason. He was a dickhead. And at the same time I cursed myself right out of your life. If I had told the truth you guys would have broken up and we would still be talking. And you would probably be my girlfriend right now. You would not have stayed mad at me because he already knew and how could you be mad at me for telling the truth.
