    Absolutely Delicious! I substituted 1 cup of the flour with WHEAT flour, and only used 1 cup of white sugar…then in the batter I drizzled honey, agave nectar and maple flavored agave. sooo good!!! gotta try : ) Also, I didn't make the icing…I found it perfect as is!

    So yummy! Baked this yesterday, hubby and kids raved! Tweaked a little, added 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg and popped apples into food processor because I was too lazy to dice, so mine were more minced than diced. Also poured 1/4 cup melted butter into pan, topped with 1/2 - 3/4 cup brown sugar and poured batter over. Baked right at an hour and 15 minutes. Amazing! Delicious served warm with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Apple Cake... 1 3/4 cup sugar 2 cups flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 cup canola oil 1 tsp. vanilla 3 eggs 4 - 5 large baking apples (sliced) 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional) Mix all ingredients with a spoon. Bake in a 9 x 13 pan for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Sprinkle with powdered sugar once cool...
