How To Use Liquid Eye Liner - Been using Maybeline's liquid eyeliner for awhile now, hooked on the cat eye.
How to apply eye makeup If you have… Round eyes: You want to create more depth. So apply a medium to dark shade on your entire lid, and if you want to elongate your eyes, extend the shadow out on the outer lid, and down onto the bottom lash line. Basically a cat eye. Deep set eyes: This is the kind of eye that I have, and it’s frustrating sometimes, but have figured out how to make it work! You should use a brighter, more bold color to bring out the eyes, and then apply a shimmer or lighter shade to the top of your lid and towards your brow bone to create the illusion of more lid. Make sure to add a medium tone to the crease to define the eye. Prominent eyes: Apply a dark, matte color to the eyes, extending out to cover the entire lid. Add a light color right beneath your brow bone to highlight. Small eyes: The key to remember is dark colors close the eye, light colors open them up. So with small eyes, you want to stick to light colors. Use a darker shade however, to apply only in the crease of your eye to help define it. Use a highlighter on the brow bone to help increase the look of more lid. Almond eyes: Use a medium shade on your entire lid, and a darker color on the outer edge of the lid. Bring the eyeshadow down onto your lower lash line, and blend the two together. Remember to highlight the brow bone. Hooded eyes: Stay away from shimmers. Use only matte colors, and stay with the lighter tones, but you can use a darker shade to contour in the crease of the eye. Asian eyes: To create dimension, apply a light shade into the inner lid and continue by applying a darker shade on the middle and outer lid. Create a crease and give the eyes depth by applying a medium-dark shade into 1/4-1/2 way thought the crease from the outer corner. Highlight under the brow to open up eye. For those who have “hidden” crease lines, use the same technique but extend the colors slightly higher above the crease so they will be more visible. For those without a crease at all, you can either not apply the dark color used for the crease, or you can use it to create an illusion of a crease. Once you have your eye shape figured out, apply eyeshadow. The next step is eyeliner. The tutorial for figuring out the eyeshadow for your eyes should help you figure out how to apply the eyeliner on the upper lid. Or if you don’t know what to do, just follow the general rule- follow your lash line. For the bottom, I line my water line. It’s sensitive at first but gradually your eyes get used to it. Or you can lightly stroke the bottom lash line with eyeliner. Just don’t do it heavily or thick. Just a light brush of it. For mascara, start at the base of your lashes and wiggle the brush up the lash. That will create the look of fuller lashes. To create length, use the brush and apply it to the ends. The mascara builds on top of itself. Just be careful to not do it too much- don’t want spider lashes!

Black eyeliner on the outside. White eyeliner on the inside. I don't have blue eyes, but maybe it would still look pretty on my green eyes?
