    May 2, 1536 – Anne Boleyn, wife and Queen to King Henry VIII, was arrested for adultery and plotting to kill the King. She was taken to the Tower of London and was executed on May 19th at Tower Green.

Drawing of an old carved chair purported to have belonged to Anne Boleyn, and purchased for Hever Castle in Victorian times. The chair is thought to be of Italian origin. Chairs such as this were rare and very high status in Tudor times.

A silver gilt clock given to Anne Boleyn by Henry VIII, her falcon emblem can just be glimpsed on the side shield. Anne's apartments would have contained many very expensive ornaments like this.

1530s. The colors are understated but lovely, and the drapery is likewise lovely. I'm not a huge fan of huge dresses, but I love how symetrical thisall looks.

Anne Boleyn;King Henry VIII 2nd& still most notorious wife.Born sometime between 1500 & 1509,she deposed his 1st popular wife,Catherine of Aargon & was despised by his subjects.She had definite Reformer leanings & was a patroness of Education & the Arts.Her failure to produce a male heir was her fatal failing.She was executed for adultery & incest 5-19-1536 & buried in an arrow box in the Chapel of St. Peter ad Vincula @ the Tower. She is said to haunt both the tower & her childhood home.
