Unfinished wood at its finest. This is done by using the extra wood that comes off of the tree being cut into a square. You can see the bark is still on. Then it is cut into thin pieces for floor trim. Great re-use of the extra lumber from the log being cut.
Old world kitchens meet the century - I love the juxtaposition of modern and antique. When done well, it has huge appeal and exudes an inviting warm air to the space. Living in a home over 60 years old, I would look to incorporate some of these touches. &
