    NOBEL PEACE PRIZE ~ President Barack Obama donated the $ 1.4 million from his Nobel Peace Prize to helping students, veterans' families & survivors of Haiti's earthquake, among others, drawing attention to organizations he said that "do extraordinary work." Obama gave a total of $ 750,000 to 6 groups that help kids go to college, $ 250,000 to Fisher's House (which provides housing for families with loved ones @U.S. Veterans Administration hospitals), & $ 200,000 to earthquake-ravaged Haiti.

    The 9/11 Teardrop Memorial - I had no clue this poignant memorial existed. It was a gift to America from the country of Russia and is dedicated "To the Struggle Against World Terrorism."
