      DIY homemade cleaner- Tub Scrub: 1 t liquid soap, several drops antibac essential oil (tea tree, eucalyptus, etc), 1 c baking soda, and just enough water to make a paste. Scour with sponge or brush.

Martha Stewart's Tub Scrub--works better than any other cleaning product to get off hard water and soap residue - one teaspoon dawn with a cup of baking soda (says to add a drop of essential oils but I assume this is optional). Make a paste, scrub on, leave a few minutes, rinse off. Worth a shot.
