Strawberry Mango Salsa 3/4 Cup Strawberries, finely diced 3/4 Cup Mangos, finely diced 1/4 Cup Red Onion, finely chopped 6 Basil Leaves, finely chopped 1 TBSP Fresh Lemon Juice 1/4 tsp. I’ve always wondered why this is called a salad as opposed to say – a pie? Any ideas? It’s a dessert that I fondly remember preparing with my Nana for all types of occasions – including baby showers.
1 pint strawberries, hulled 3 T. honey, 2 t. fresh lemon juice, 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter softened. Puree in food processor, force through fine sieve add honey & juice and boil the mix stirring 3 min or until thickened. Let it cool in a bowl cream together butter and strawberry mixture. Yummy!
