Honokohau Falls, Maui. This is breathtaking—It plunges in two tiers for a total of 1600 feet, making it the second highest falls in the United States (only Yosemite Falls is higher). And, it's where they filmed Jurassic Park!
Iceland ~ Hundreds of years of mist have covered the Eldhraun lava and tephra flow from the Laki fissure, East rift, in spongy moss and lichen. Formed in the massive "Laki fires" that killed 1/4 of Iceland's people 1783-1784 AD.
