Le Mondrian Cafe 148 Boulevard St Germain, Paris. We've been to the famous tourist cafes in Saint-Germain-des-Pres - Les Deux Magot, Lipp, Cafe de Flore. This one has been "our neighborhood restaurant" in all our trips to Paris. It has the great sidewalk views of the action on Blvd. Saint-Germain, but also comfortable booths in the brasserie section, soft wood, brass and lace decor; tasty comfort food. I love the tarte citron!
Have been toCafe de la Paix, but only inside--it was February! Maybe next time, sitting outdoors! (And if I need a break from French food--is that possible?--they have "American" club sandwich or a hamburger.)
