Funny- They have to leave it on their desk for when they come back...Love this because YEAH RIGHT they really wash their hands on their own in the bathroom every time! Re-pinned for all my teacher friends!

I LOVE how this teacher uses Word of the Day as a transition for her kids! There's an awesome video that explains this and has great Whole Brain Teaching strategies :)

Walk over and hand this to a child instead of yelling across the classroom. Plus you both know a warning has been given without debate.

First day of school ♥ love this. We spend a lot of time telling our kids what we expect. I think that it's a great idea to let them have a turn :)

Teacher Time Savers

Teacher Time Savers - tape these "not finished yet" bags on the front of students' desks. Keeps papers from getting lost and allows the teacher to see how much work each student still needs to finish.

I have used this is my classroom for three years. It works like a charm. The students love to see how many gum balls they can earn during the given time. I have either set the timer for the full amount of work time or set it for smaller increments of time. As a reward, if they reach the goal, I sometimes give a piece of bubble gum, or something toward a classroom goal for some other reward...For example I might give them a letter toward building the word Compliments.

This would be great for flu season! Student leaves it on their desk, then uses it when they get back to their seat. Genius!! { one way to make sure they wash ;) }

Bathroom passes...kids put the hand sanitizer bottle on their desk. That way, you can easily see who's in the bathroom AND they will remember to wash their hands when they get back.

A place to put all the beautiful pictures your students give you throughout the year. Keep it on a shelf where the kids can also look at it, and you don't have pictures everywhere!!!

love the enlarged note on the desk! "Dear fifth graders, You are cared for. You are trusted. You are believed in. If at any time you do not feel this is true, see me immediately."

Fun and funky classroom timer! This is candle timer. The candle will start diminishing as the time runs out, and then give out a chiming music at the end!

Jeopardy generator that can be used with SmartBoard or projected from computer. Easy to set up.

To promote kindness in the classroom...this is the time of year we all need a new idea!
