Baked Onion Rings Recipe for those of us without a frier...I suddenly just got hungry

    • Jen Edwards

Who needs a deep fryer when baked onion rings turn out this crispy?...Sure they're crispy, but the onions are still raw-ish while the outsides are pretty over cooked and taste like raw flour. Epic pass...seriously, just eat smarter during the week and get some real rings the next time you go out.

Who needs a deep fryer when baked onion rings turn out this crispy? 1 medium yellow Onion, 1/2 cup All Purpose Flour, 1/2 cup whole wheat Bread Crumbs, 2 Eggs, Cajun seasoning. Slice onion in wide sections. Preheat oven to 450ºF. Dip rings in bowl with flour, then dip in egg, and cover with bread crumbs. Place on the baking sheet. Lightly spray with cooking spray and bake for 7-8 minutes. Flip each onion ring over and bake for another 5-6 minutes.
