Oh how I loved my Chatty Cathy doll. Actually have a picture of me and my brother on our swing set and I'm holding my Chatty Cathy doll.

I had a Chatty Cathy doll.In the Mattel Toys came out with a doll that you pulled a string on the back and it would say all sorts of cutesy phrases like, "Please brush my hair." It was the rage of little girls all around.

Loved my Chatty Cathy Doll til her speech started slurring. Then my daddy oiled her cord you pulled in the back to make her talk. She talked so fast after that!

Mattel never threw any parts away so a 1964 doll may have had 1961 arms or legs. I never owned one, but wanted a Chatty Cathy doll.
